Shares of LG Energy Solution, which signed a 6 trillion won lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery supply contract with a company estimated to be Tesla, are rising.
The warm wind from Tesla is raising the stock price of LG Energy Solution, which ranks third after Samsung Electronics, which ranks first in the KOSPI market.

On the 30th, when the related information was announced, it rose only 0.26% but rose again. On the other hand, CATL shares, a Chinese company that has supplied batteries to Tesla, fell 7.66 percent on the Hong Kong Exchange on the 30th.
LG Energy Solution announced on the morning of the 30th that it has won orders for LFP batteries worth about 6 trillion won (US$4.39 billion) overseas. This is 23.2% of last year’s sales (25.6 trillion won).
Domestic investors are cheering for Tesla. This is because Tesla signed a consignment production of semiconductors worth 23 trillion won with Samsung Electronics, the No. 1 KOSPI market capitalization, on the 28th, and it also gave a big boost to LG Energy Solution, the third-largest.
