Upon arrival, Lauderhill police said they “observed two juveniles suffering from gunshot wounds in the parking lot of the apartment complex.”

Police said the victims, ages 17 and 16, were transported to Broward Health Medical Center, where both remain in stable condition.

Family members of 16-year-old Shiraji Reid were gathered outside the hospital on Wednesday night, saying the teen was hooked up to a ventilator.

5 p.m. report:

Video provided by a nearby resident showed the chaotic aftermath showed one juvenile receiving CPR and another one off in the distance after being shot.

In another clip, the resident described the emotional scene as family members tried to reach the victims and police applied pressured to stop the victim from bleeding.

“The police was trying to hold them and trying to keep the crowd from going to the victim, whoever it was,” said Rodlyn Richards, who lives nearby.

Police said a motive for the shooting remains unknown and there are no known suspects, nor have any arrests been made.
