USF wins 18-16.
The clock is now ticking on Billy Napier again.
They were going to fire Billy Napier after the Texas game last year.
They had pretty much made up their minds.
They were getting ready for a search, but he brought it back, and it wasn’t necessarily that he was that great down the stretch, but you saw seeds where things were starting to get better.
DJ Lagway looked like he could be very good.
They were bringing back a good roster, and Godfrey, the thing about it is if you look at the rest of Billy Napier’s tenure, what you saw last night is exactly what it has been.
He, I, I wrote a column, you know, he, he does the interview before the 4th quarter starts with, with Morgan Uber, the ESPN sideline reporter, and he says there’s a lot of uncharacteristic mistakes, and I’m like, no.

These are completely characteristic of your team.
Dude, make your layups, and this coaching staff has failed at that time and again.
Yeah, what’s crazy too is that that part of the reason that Scott Strickland hired Billy Napier is that his teams at Lafayette were fairly disciplined and were organized and had this deep, great culture and all of this stuff, like all of the Nick Saban stuff, all of that and consistency.
Yeah, we haven’t gotten any of Strickland always talked about getting Florida off the roller coaster because that was, that’s been Florida’s problem post-Meyer is they’ll hire these coaches who will have a great year followed by a terrible year and followed by a great year.

Now they’re just all mediocre.
That’s not better, but yeah, it is amazing to me.
How this has played out, and I think we see the ultimate.
You know what’s going to happen.
I, I, this is, there’s going to be a change most likely unless he just comes out because their next four games let’s run this down at LSU at Miami.
They get a week off, back home against Texas, then at Texas A&M.
I said before the season, they need to go 2 and 2 in the stretch to have a chance to reach their goals.
Now, because I wasn’t including a loss to USF in the mix, you’ve got to go 3 and 1.
