DECATUR, Ala. (WAFF/Gray News) – A man in Alabama died after allegedly stabbing his 79-year-old father in a domestic dispute, according to authorities.
Decatur Police said around 7:26 p.m., officers responded to Harpeth Place SW about a stabbing.
When officers arrived, they found a 79-year-old man with a stab wound and a 50-year-old man unconscious.
The preliminary investigation indicates the 50-year-old man stabbed his father before getting into a fight with him.
The 50-year-old male was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The 79-year-old man was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is currently ongoing.
