SAN DIEGO, Calif.—University of Hawai’i men’s tennis player Azuma Visaya…on the opening day of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s (ITA) Conference Masters Championships at the Barnes Tennis Center.
Visaya opened the day defeating University of the Incarnate Word’s Alejandro Hernandez in straight sets, 6-0, 6-3 to advance to the Round of 16. In his afternoon match, Visaya squared off against sixth-seeded Jeremy Jin of Florida. Jin held off Visaya by a break in the first set then pulled away in the second for a 6-4, 6-0 win.
Visaya’s two matches concludes his action in the Conference Masters tourney.
