Add sconces near the bed for that hotel-chic feel. A pendant over the dining table? Instant drama. And don’t sleep on under-cabinet lights in the kitchen. Seriously, they make late-night snacking way more cinematic. It’s all about layering light where you want energy or calm.
Caroline of @carolinecurated on TikTok drew inspiration from interior decor brand Lone Fox for her latest lamp DIY project and it’s incredibly chic.

Because she’s new a sewer, Caroline uses a hot glue gun to tackle what a needle and thread typically would. She takes an embroidery hoop and some leftover linen fabric, then roughly measured where the fabric needed to be cut. After cutting off the excess fabric, steaming the material to remove wrinkles and finishing it off with hot glue gun seams, the lamp has a new look which Caroline describes as “boutique hotel-style.”
While admittedly not a style for everyone, the sculptural base and the sort of loose look of the linen shade make it an interesting piece, and one that looks entirely custom.
