I’m guessing they didn’t do it because they’ve gerrymandered to the point where it’s going to hurt them if they do it more. And, I’m also guessing the criticism from Trump is kabuki theater for public consumption. He and Indiana Republicans have probably already agreed on their stage managed reactions.
