There was a point in 2025 where not a single pair of my jeans fit me right. Weight fluctuations and fashion trends aside I had to ask myself, when on earth was the last time I went shopping for denim? And to be clear, I think shopping for denim kind of sucks. We can all agree on that, right? It’s something you need to prepare for by researching intently, returning many online orders, or suiting up for a long day of taking your pants on and off in dressing rooms.
However, throughout trying 60-plus pairs of jeans this year I can happily say I have seven pairs that I without a doubt love and cherish. The best feeling? Throwing a random pair of jeans into a suitcase for a weekend trip and never looking back. Knowing they’ll fit like a glove. More of that in 2026 please. So without further ado, these are the seven styles I’m taking with me into 2026.
7 Writer-Loved Jeans of 2025
Madewell Curvy Jules Straight Jeans in Rinse Wash
Madewell
I’ve been a lover of Madewell jeans since high school. And, I’ve never had a bad experience ordering or shopping in store. I used to be a huge fan of their Roadtripper jeans when skinny jeans were still cool. Now, I love everything they put out in their curve line. These straight jeans are so comfortable and nothing beats a dark denim wash like these.
The Rylan Relaxed High-Rise Flare Jeans by Pilcro
Anthropologie
Pilcro is another favorite brand of mine. I have multiple corduroy flares from them as well coats and shirts. These high-rise flare jeans can be put on for most editor events and dinners alike. I love the black wash and matching hardware. Cute with a white T-shirt and even better with a mockneck sweater and lots of jewelry to compliment.
Carve Designs Audrey Wide-Leg Jeans
Carve Designs
Before these, I had only tried some of the more athletic and sporty pieces from Carve Designs. The Audrey Wide Legs are so comfortable (they stood the test of Thanksgiving dinner BTW) and I love how the lengths are a little too long on me so that when I put on boots, they fall perfectly just above the bottom of the heel. Everyone needs one pair of dark grey denim, it looks so good on curves.
Abercrombie Curve Love High-Rise Bootcut Jeans
Abercrombie & Fitch
Abercrombie Curve Love jeans were once slept on before they blew up on TikTok. I own a cute half denim, half faux leather pair as well as these high rise bootcuts. They hug in all the right places, don’t leave a gap in the back and they hold up through washes. Less than $100 is a great price for how good they feel. And, you don’t have to worry about logos on the back pocket. But, remember when we wanted that to show? Good times.
Quince Bella Stretch Kickflare Jeans
Quince
These kickflare jeans from Quince may be my favorite. Anything I’ve thrown at them, they’ve shown up. Events, dinners, shopping days—even welcome parties at a barn wedding? They looked good. I love the dark wash called Deep Rinse, your butt will look cute, and the tapered legs will go with any shoes you fancy.
Old Navy Extra High-Waisted Straight Jeans
Old Navy
Don’t sleep on Old Navy Denim—it’s always on sale. This style is currently 50 percent off and has such great structure. Straight jeans compliment so many body types (though I still recommend trying them on in the dressing room and grabbing a wash or two.
Quince Bella Stretch Wide-Leg Jeans
Quince
Easily my most worn this year. A summer and fall wardrobe staple. These looked so cute with sandals and then easily transitioned to fall with sneakers or chelsea boots. I typically go for jeans that have more of a structure and don’t flare until after the knee but these have served me well. They come in at the waist just right and are very comfortable.
