Bunnings bombshell: Hardware giant partners with The Block 2025
Australia’s most well-known hardware warehouse, Bunnings is joining forces with The Block for 2025 as its official D.I.Y partner.
Filming of the 21st season of the popular reality show has begun in the picturesque Victorian country town of Daylesford where the Blockhead teams will overhaul five homes, set to form a new neighbourhood within Hygge Property’s Middleton Field new housing estate.

Bunnings managing director Mike Schneider said the Bunnings team was excited to be part of The Block and help this year’s contestants with all things DIY and home improvement.
“When we were presented with the opportunity to partner with The Block, we jumped at the chance to provide 2025 contestants with everything they need from the front gate to the back fence,” he said.
“We’re all about encouraging Australians to give their home projects a red hot go, and we know The Block brings home renovation inspiration to millions each year.
“Our team can’t wait to support contestants through their 12-week home renovation journey and hopefully inspire viewers to get stuck into their own projects.”

Bunnings’ new partnership will be evident when the series goes to air later this year via an on-site Bunnings Mini Store, where Blockheads can get supplies, in addition to seeking advice from Bunnings team members.
Additionally, there will also be a Bunnings-branded nursery on-site in Daylesford for contestants to source their plant supplies.

It also ends host Scott Cam’s tenure as Mitre 10’s brand ambassador.
“For the past 12 years, we’ve been proud to partner with The Block, inspiring Australians and demonstrating our commitment to DIY and home improvement,” a Mitre 10 statement read.

“We believe it’s the right time to explore new opportunities to showcase the strength of our brand and the exceptional experiences our stores deliver to our customers every day.
“We part ways with The Block with great respect for the program, its producers, and Channel 9.
“We are deeply grateful for their partnership and the role they have played in building the Mitre 10 brand. We wish them continued success in the seasons ahead.”
Daylesford finally set to shine
For the next few months the Blockheads and other cast and crew members will call Daylesford home, in what has been a long time coming.
In 2023, plans were scrapped to set the 2024 milestone season in the historic town due to a handful of locals’ complaints, and the show moved to Phillip Island instead.

Early last year, Channel 9 purchased the five 2400sqm Raglan Street lots which are situated opposite the popular Farmers Arms Hotel Daylesford and in close vicinity of the Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens.
In keeping with Daylesford’s landscape and the wider neighbourhood’s design guidelines, Hygge Property director Joseph van Dyk told realestate.com.au that the large, architecturally designed homestead type residences will form a private street with no passing traffic.
“There’s a historic row of cedar trees which will be protected and preserved and that shelters The Block land from the road on Raglan Street,” Mr van Dyk said.
“They also will interface with another eco village we will be designing to the north.”
