Local artists shine at Athenaeum Foundation’s pop-up market in Indy

INDIANAPOLIS — People got the chance to shop works from local artists and vendors at a pop-up market in downtown Indianapolis Friday.

Athenaeum Foundation President Craig Mince said the event is a win for everyone involved.

“The shoppers love it,” said Mince. “A lot of these vendors you’ll see here and there, but to see them all in one place is really cool. The vendors love it because the traffic, the eyeballs on their product, the purchases, a lot of people have never seen their stuff before, so it’s really just a nice dynamic.”

There was also a special edition of Cereal Cinema After Dark with a screening of the 1995 film “Hackers.” Admission to Friday’s event included a movie ticket and a bowl of Cap’n Crunch.
