President Donald Trump touted what he described as a crowd of at least 45,000 people at his Great American State Fair rally in Washington, D.C. earlier this week, while also urging supporters to attend a larger Fourth of July celebration that is slated to feature an expanded military display and patriotic festivities.

In a pair of social media posts on Thursday, Trump called the reception the previous night a success, saying the "incredible" crowd was "packed to the brim." He said guests stayed through the end of his speech "because they loved hearing about a truly successful America."
The White House has not independently released attendance figures for the event, and Trump's estimate could not immediately be verified.

The president also promoted a July 4 event that's set to be held in Washington, promising what he described as the largest and most impressive military flyovers yet.
Trump said organizers expect to accommodate a larger crowd on Independence Day than at the reception. He also praised the event's music and aviation demonstrations.
Aside from military flyovers, the July 4 celebration is expected to include live entertainment and remarks from the president as part of the nation's annual Independence Day observances.
