An invitation to President Trump to visit Winchendon last year has received a response from the White House.
Town Manager Bill McKinney said he invited the president to attend the town’s annual Founders’ Day event last June 6.
“I figured he would be busy around July 4, so I was hoping an earlier event might work,” said McKinney. “I hadn’t heard anything until we received the letter yesterday (June 9).”
