Crescent City Classic Parking and Traffic

New Orleans – The Crescent City Classic will be run on Saturday April 4, 2026, starting from the intersection of Poydras and Loyola. The race formation area stretches from Poydras/Loyola to Poydras/South Claiborne.  The route of the race is Poydras Street to Decatur Street to Esplanade Avenue, on City Park Avenue and then into City Park with the finish line near the New Orleans Museum of Art.

Key route areas impacted:

  • Poydras St. (Loyola → Claiborne, continuing toward South Peters)
  • S. Peters / N. Peters
  • Canal St. crossings
  • Decatur St.
  • Esplanade Ave.
  • City Park Ave.
  • Marconi Dr.
  • Victory Dr.
  • Dreyfous Dr.
  • Lelong Ave.

No parking zones will be enforced beginning Friday, April 3rd at 11:30 PM through Saturday, April 4th at 12:00 PM.

The Crescent City Classic erects fencing on Poydras in the formation area to create chutes and corrals for different starting groups. This fencing is erected in the overnight hours prior to the race’s starting time. Part of the fencing is erected in the parking lanes in front of 1615 Poydras St (NOPD Headquarters) and in front of 1340 Poydras Street. 

The Crescent City Classic has posted No Parking Signs all along Poydras – Restrictions beginning Friday April 03, 2026 11:30pm-Saturday April 04, 2026 12:00pm. The formation area construction is on a very tight timeline, forcing any vehicles illegally parked to be immediately towed.

Anyone attending the concert in the Smoothie King arena on Friday night should also be mindful of the parking restrictions.
