Pete Davidson Shows Nearly Bare Arms in After Massive Tattoo Removal

Pete Davidson’s transformation is almost complete.

Page Six reports that last Wednesday, the comedian appeared at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, where he showed off his nearly tattoo-free arms. He previously had sleeves on both arms, totaling around 200 tattoos, and the removal has reportedly cost him at least $200,000.

In January 2025, he revealed that he was in the process of getting rid of all his ink. “I’ve been burning them off. They’re almost gone,” he said of his tattoos on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

At the time, he said he would remove most of them, except “maybe two or three,” like his Hilary Clinton portrait. “I’m trying to clean slate it,” he added.

A few months later, he told Variety that he’d already spent almost $200,000 and was only 30 percent done. He also explained that it’d take him another “10 years” to finish up the process, which he started in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the comedian, starting fresh is the result of his wanting to enter a healthier era of his life.

“I used to be a drug addict, and I was a sad person, and I felt ugly and that I needed to be covered up,” Davidson told Variety. “And I don’t think there’s anything wrong with tattoos, but mine, when I look at them, I remember a sad person that was very unsure. So I’m just removing them and starting fresh, because that’s what I think works best for me and for my brain.”

This healthier era of Davidson’s life comes amid welcoming a child with his girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt. The couple welcomed their first child together on Dec. 12, a daughter named Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson. The couple apparently chose the name to honor Pete’s father, Scott Davidson, a New York City firefighter who died during the September 11, 2001 attacks when Pete was seven years old.
