News briefs: Air Canada, CAP and Travelogix
Air Canada has unveiled its new long-haul cabin designs. The completely reimagined cabins will appear first this summer on the A321XLR, which offers a “true lie-flat” Air Canada Signature Class experience for the first time on a single-aisle aircraft. The new cabin design, featuring the exclusive Air Canada Signature Plus Suite, will launch when the Boeing 787-10 enters service. All-new ergonomic seats are designed to maximize personal space with built-in tablet holders, and larger overhead bins, while all cabins will have significantly larger 4K OLED screens and Bluetooth audio. Passengers will have access to high-powered USB-C and AC power outlets at every seat. Air Canada Premium Economy cabins will also feature new extended privacy wings for added comfort.
CAP Worldwide (CAP) has appointed Bill Hanfrey as Enterprise Sales Director, as the business continues its accelerated corporate growth trajectory. He previously held senior positions with AirPlus, Travelport, Emburse, Sabre, CWT and BCD. Reporting into CAP CEO Jo Layton and COO Andrew Hopgood, Bill joins leadership team, working alongside Rachel Blackwood, Clare Ace, Kate Scott, Lorna Keen, Francine Migliorati, Dan Woodburn, Jess Sharpe and Simon Beauchamp, while supporting regional leaders Laura Rurode (Director Americas) and JP Lin (Director APAC).
Travelogix has formed a strategic partnership with Australian travel network CT Partners, marking a significant step towards expanding its presence and capabilities in the APAC market. This collaboration will enable CT Partners’ members to benefit from enhanced data visibility, market-leading reporting, and deeper insights across their travel programmes. To further strengthen its in-market delivery and support, Travelogix has also appointed Nina Craw as a dedicated technical specialist in the region. Acting as an extension of Travelogix locally, she will play a key role in supporting implementations, optimising data integrations, and ensuring customers extract maximum value from the Travelogix suite of products.
