HAYWOOD COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — All lanes are back open following an early-morning tractor-trailer crash near the North Carolina-Tennessee state line that shut down Interstate 40 on Friday, May 8.
According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation, the crash was reported at 4:10 a.m., and all lanes were reopened at 2:05 p.m.
According to the DriveNC website, which is under the NCDOT, the closure was near the Tennessee state line at Exit 7 – Cold Springs Creek Road – due to the crash.
