SARGENT’S PURCHASE, N.H. (WCAX) – Rescue crews plan to search again Friday morning for a man missing on Mount Washington since Wednesday.
New Hampshire Fish and Game says William Davis, 79, of Jacksonville, Florida, took the Cog Railway up the mountain on Wednesday and wandered off the summit.
Authorities say he was last seen near the observation deck around 3:20 p.m. and reported missing around 6 p.m.
A full-scale search was launched using a drone and search teams, but it has so far been unsuccessful.
It comes as weather conditions on the mountain deteriorated overnight, with temperatures in the high 30s and wind gusts of 97 mph.
