Men’s Cross Country Competes at Pop Crowell Invitational

WENHAM, Mass. – Emerson Men’s Cross Country traveled up to the North Shore on Saturday (Sept. 13) to compete in Gordon’s Pop Crowell Invitational. The Lions placed 10th out of 11 teams in the eight-kilometer race.

Senior John Lanza was Emerson’s top finisher, placing 29th in the 114-runner field. He finished with a time of 28:55.43. Honor Scorzelli was the only other Lions runner in the top-50, finishing 43rd with a time of 29.45.62.

Christiano Iannacone (61st, 31:15.87), Bryan Hecht (78th, 32:25.44), and Paulo Vallejo Cardenas (79th, 32:26.49) were Emerson’s three other scorers.

UP NEXT: 

Emerson will hit the trails again next week on Saturday, Sept. 20 as it travels to UMass Dartmouth for the UMass Dartmouth Invitational at noon.
