Florida governor candidate claims he was victim of arson after fire starts in front yard – NBC 6 South Florida

A candidate for Florida Governor is claiming that he was the victim of an arson attack after a fire started in his front yard on Sunday.

According to James Fishback’s campaign “Fishback for Florida,” he returned to his home in Madison, and a fire was intentionally set in his side yard, which spread towards the home, where he and his staff members were working.

Fishback’s campaign thanked Madison County Fire Rescue for their quick response and for containing the fire before it damaged his home.

His campaign is condemning the alleged attack.

Fishback has made controversial proposals that he said he will enact if he is elected the next governor of Florida.

In January, Fishback said he will push for a “sin tax,” by taxing 50% of OnlyFans users’ incomes.

It’s unclear if any arrests were made due to the fire.
