All Nippon Airways (ANA) has announced that Juichi Hirasawa is to take over as the Japanese carrier’s president and CEO.
Hirasawa will succeed current president and CEO Shinichi Inoue from 1 April. Inoue has held the leadership position at ANA since April 2022 and will become a senior advisor to parent company ANA Holdings following Hirasawa’s promotion.
In a statement, ANA said that Hirasawa has been with the company since 1986 and his roles have included executive vice president when he helped to steer the airline through the Covid-19 crisis.
Hirasawa currently serves as representative director and executive vice president of ANA Holdings where he primarily focuses on industrial policy, government affairs and economic security.
ANA praised Inoue for his leadership during the airline’s recovery from Covid-19 and for achieving “record-high” operating revenue in 2024.
“He has steered ANA back to a growth trajectory as a leading global airline, with a continued priority on safety,” added the airline.
