Deaf boy deported to Colombia with family California Bay Area news outlets KTVU and the San Francisco Chronicle reported that a 7-year-old Deaf boy was deported to Colombia with his mother and younger brother after being detained on Tuesday when the family went to an immigration office in San Francisco for a routine check-in. The boy was a student at the California School for the Deaf, Fremont. The school wrote a letter urging the US government to allow the boy to return to the Bay Area so he can continue his education without interruptions.
