Elon Musk has praised his employees across his companies, including SpaceX, Tesla and X (formerly Twitter), highlighting their talent across these organisations. In a post on X, he celebrated his workforce, stating that collaborating with exceptional people to build groundbreaking products remains the single greatest privilege of his life.“The greatest privilege of my life is being able to work with incredible people to create amazing products,” he said in a post.
This is not the first time that Musk has lauded his teams for pushing boundaries. Earlier this year, Musk commended Tesla’s AI semiconductor design group, describing their engineering reviews as outstanding and labeling the unit exceptional following a progress review of the company’s next-generation AI6 silicon.“Tesla AI chip design engineering reviews are so great! Team is awesome. Our AI6 chip might set a record for most amount of usable intelligence from a wafer when factoring in yield,” Musk shared in a post on X. Musk’s assessment highlighted an architectural approach that weighs manufacturing efficiency just as heavily as peak computational speeds.Musk previously indicated that the AI6 architecture is engineered to provide twice the performance of the AI5 while maintaining an identical half-reticle physical footprint. The custom processor initiative fits into Musk’s broader long-term goal to secure internal hardware self-sufficiency through a proposed manufacturing initiative named Terafab.Designed to unite Tesla, SpaceX, xAI and Intel into an integrated chipmaking ecosystem, the project seeks to curb reliance on third-party fabrication plants. Musk has warned that existing worldwide semiconductor capacity satisfies only a small portion of the computing power his ventures will ultimately need.
