Mike Campbell wrote a memoir, “Heartbreaker,” that was published in March 2025 by Da Capo Press. In the book, Campbell looks back on his life, including his early life but most intently on his time as a guitarist for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

In an interview with Zach McCormick at The Current, Campbell talks about what was important in the approach to writing the book, as well as some of the lessons Campbell took away after reflecting on his life so far.
