This policy brief summarises evidence from a JRC systematic literature review on social media use and youth mental health and well-being, conducted under the MISMAW administrative agreement with DG EAC. Baed on longitudinal and experimental studies, it examines how different patterns of social media use relate to well-being and mental health, and highlights the main implications for policy, monitoring and future research.
