ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A music festival comprised entirely of local artists is returning to the New Mexico State Fair this year at the Chevron Pavilion.

The second annual Soundwave NM festival is set for Saturday, Sept. 19, starting at 11 a.m. It’ll feature six New Mexico-based musical acts, listed in order of appearance:

  • Edward Brewer
  • JD Nash & The Rash of Cash
  • Clarq
  • The Backlash
  • Russian Girlfriends
  • Metalachi

“The New Mexico State Fair is the best place to highlight and share the rich musical talent from around New Mexico,” said Fair general manager Dan Mourning. “Soundwave NM is back for the second year in a row and we’re excited to make things even bigger. The Chevron Pavilion will be rocking out, making this a can’t-miss festival!”

Last year, Soundwave NM took place on a Sunday in Tingley Coliseum, featuring acts such as Sisterbaby and Slums of Harvard. Like last year, entrance into Soundwave NM will be included with the price of Fair admission.
