My First Viral – Live From California with Lloyd Kahn

Holy cow!

I get a lot of requests to do videos, podcasts, interviews, etc. these days, And I turn most of them down. But I decided to do this one because Sierra Clarke, who does videos on older people, said she’d skateboard with me and also take a mud bath.

So I spent the day with Sierra, a film crew who flew in from Denver, and her assistant.

But I wasn’t prepared for this. Over 2 million views, 3000 comments, 40,000 ”likes…”

I think I could do a Substack on aging that would be pretty popular, but I don’t want to do that. I’d rather focus on my adventures in life, what I see going on in the world, and whatever I dig up because I’m a curious person.

BTW, I wasn’t skating well during this morning session, felt rusty. After about a half-hour I’d warmed up and was getting better, but we’d wrapped by then, so I asked them not to show too much of my skating. (I should have skated for 20 minutes before we started shooting.)

BTW, my skateboard, a Tangent by Loaded Boards in LA, has been a breakthrough for me. It’s a different configuration and encourages me to keep on skating. Invariably, when I show it to other skaters, they go, “Well yeah…”
