Steam kicks off Autumn Sale with 90% off (or more) on highlighted games – htxt.co.za

Another sale is here, this time in the form of the annual Steam Autumn Sale. While big Steam sales can start to feel samey, this one is notable for a new section on the front page of the store.
Labelled as “Featured Deep Discounts. Especially great deals on some of the all-time greats” this section of the sale has a notable amount of big name games, all at 90 or 95 percent off.
Here’s the games included in that section. Steam provides them in a random order, but we’ve put them into alphabetical order and sorted them according to the discount.
You can click or tap the name of the game to be taken to its store page.
For us, Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus (pictured above) stands out, as we’re 40K fans and still haven’t found the time to try this one. Far Cry 6 is also calling to us for some fun shooting action over the weekend, and PlateUp! is exactly what we’re looking for, for some party gaming.
As always, as with all Steam sales, we recommend making use of your wishlist. Games on your wishlist can be organised by discount, allowing you to quickly see which of your earmarked games have the best deal.
If your wishlist is a bit barren, or you’re simply looking for more, this new deep discount section is very welcome.
Regardless of how you shop, the Steam Autumn Sale will not be around for long. It closes on 8th October at 10:00 PT (7:00 South African time on 9th October).
