News Connectz10/02/2026President Donald Trump renewed a campaign promise during his rally in Durant on Thursday, saying every American adult would receive $5,000 if Republicans retain control of the House and Senate in the midterm elections. “Republicans can do it and Democrats can’t. Because we’re taking in massive amounts of money through tariffs and record setting economic success,” Trump said. House Speaker Mike Johnson previously said President Trump would need Congress to make it happen.
