Your environment is either expanding you… or shrinking you.
The people you surround yourself with are not neutral.
They will either challenge you to think bigger, act bolder, and grow faster — or they’ll keep you exactly where you are.
I’ve learned this the hard way.
When I’ve been in rooms where everyone’s just comfortable, I stopped pushing myself.
But when I’ve been in rooms where the standard was excellence, I had no choice but to level up.
That’s why I invest in peer groups, retreats, and conversations that stretch me.
Not for the networking. Not for the photo ops.
For the friction that makes me better.
If you want to grow, stop asking “What can I do?”
Start asking “Who do I need to be around?”
Because the right circle won’t just inspire you.
They’ll demand more from you — and make sure you rise to it.
