Carolina Hurricanes fans wanting to make a last-minute trip
to Las Vegas to cheer on the team are running into high ticket prices and low
availability.
On Thursday night, the Canes tied the series against the Vegas
Golden Knights at 1-1. Seth Jarvis
buried an overtime goal to give the Canes a 4-3 win.
Southwest Airlines does offer a direct flight from
Raleigh-Durham International Airport [RDU] to Harry Reid International Airport
[LAS] in Las Vegas. Many other airlines offer connecting flights.
Earlier this week, Delta canceled its direct flights from
RDU to Vegas for the summer. The airline cited “routine network planning for
the summer season.”
Ticket prices for all airlines going from RDU to LAS start
out at least $500 roundtrip.
On Friday, WRAL News spoke with Bennett Waldman, who was
flying out of RDU to Japan for vacation. Waldman plans on watching the Canes’
in the Stanley Cup Final.
“Well, it’s like 9 a.m. when it starts there so, it’s like
you have to wake up get your breakfast and then turn on the game, I guess,”
Waldman said. “It’s going be different, but it should be fun for sure.”
Regardless of the outcomes of Game 3 on Saturday and Game 4
on Tuesday night, the Canes are guaranteed to host Game 5 on Thursday, June 11
at Lenovo Center in Raleigh.
Both the Canes and Golden Knights are flying directly to Las
Vegas.
Canes watch parties for the 2026 Stanley Cup Final
Saturday
night’s watch party at Lenovo Center is sold out.
Moore Square is not hosting a watch party for Game 3 or Game
4. The Moore Square watch parties are only for home games.
Parking at Lenovo Center is free on road game days, but fan
who want to park on-site for the home game watch parties still need to pay to
park.
