It’s about eight weeks until Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls releases, and we’re still waiting for the game’s last three fighters to be revealed.
(I’d imagine they’ll be unveiled amid much fanfare at Evo next weekend, right? That feels like the likeliest destination.)
In the meantime, Arc System Works has started a new video series, where it’s going to delve into the combat capabilities of each individual character.
I doubt we’ll post all of these, but you can get an idea of what to expect from the series courtesy of the video above, which focuses on Captain America.
The video shows off his different colours, showcases all of his moves, and then ends with some really crazy combos which reveal what you can do with the character when you master him.
As always, the art direction is impeccable, and while Cap has few surprises in terms of gameplay – he tosses his shield about a lot, as you’d expect – he does look like a reliably fun character to play as.
I’m not sure whether I’ll be using Steve Rogers in my team; I think there are others in the roster I’d rather get to grips with first. But I’m sure he’s going to be a popular pick for many, and judging by some of the combos in the trailer, he’s going to be very powerful in the right hands.
As a reminder, Marvel Tokon will launch on 6th August, on both PS5 and PC.
