Steam’s Choices Matter Festival: Telltale-Hosted Sale Cuts Prices on 90+ Story Games – Shane the Gamer

Telltale Games is running the first-ever Choices Matter Festival on Steam, a themed sale spotlighting narrative titles where player decisions shape the story. Telltale has announced that it will host the first-ever Choices Matter Festival on Steam, with the event kicking off on Monday, August 10, at 10:00 AM PT. Special content ran until 5:30 PM PT that same day and was rebroadcast until August 13, while discounts remain available through August 17.
The festival highlights games across various genres that feature branching storylines and impactful decision-making, with over 90 titles available at a discount, alongside more than 40 playable demos, behind-the-scenes content, interviews, developer commentary, exclusive reveals, and two world premieres. It’s the kind of scale that puts the whole “choices matter” genre — from Telltale’s own catalogue to Quantic Dream’s cinematic thrillers — under one storefront roof for a week.
Among the hundred-plus discounted titles, Quantic Dream’s back catalogue stands out. Both Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls are currently available for just €0.99 each, meaning shoppers can pick up two complete narrative-focused games for less than the price of a coffee.
Other veteran choice-driven titles are also seeing some of their deepest markdowns yet. Esoteric Ebb, a fantasy RPG populated by clerics, goblins and the like, is $19.99 at 20% off, while ZERO PARADES: For Dead Spies — an espionage thriller from ZA/UM, the studio behind Disco Elysium — is $35.99 with a 10% discount.
