Dog Blood: Skrillex and Boys Noize tease new music

The link led to just under two minutes of snippets of new music. Soon after, Skrillex shared a screen recording on his Instagram Stories with the caption “dog blood id mega mix 2026”, confirming the music comes from the pair. Fans who missed the text did not have to wait long, as a Reddit user quickly uploaded a recording of the full teaser.

The snippets sound like classic Dog Blood. Acid-fuelled electro and ferocious, distorted bass run through the whole mix, two signatures of the duo’s sound. There is also a nod to pop history, with Rihanna’s 2007 hit ‘Don’t Stop the Music’ interpolated along the way.

What the teaser is actually for remains unclear. Neither artist has confirmed a new album or mixtape, and there is no release date. Still, the timing is hard to ignore. Rumours of a Dog Blood reunion first picked up late last year, and this teaser landed on the very same day as their Portola headline slot.

Boys Noize also has plenty going on outside the duo. He recently announced ‘7LLVSION’, his first solo album in five years, out November 6 via ONES and ZEROS. Over the past year, he has also toured with Nine Inch Nails and co-produced the TRON: Ares soundtrack, so a fresh Dog Blood chapter would cap a remarkable run. For now, Dog Blood fans will have to keep listening back to that mega mix and wait for the next clue.
