BALTIMORE, Md. (WBFF) — With the November election approaching, new polling from UMBC reveals that concerns about the state’s economy remain a central issue for Maryland voters.
According to the survey, 81 percent of likely voters described Maryland’s economic conditions over the past year as either poor or fair, which represents a more negative view than what was reported in the March poll.
The poll also sheds light on how voters view Gov. Wes Moore’s performance. Overall, 49 percent approve of his job as governor while 42 percent disapprove. When results are divided by party, there is a sharp difference: 70 percent of Democrats say they approve of the job Moore is doing but only 7 percent of Republicans agree.
