KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee head women’s tennis coach Alison Ojeda announced the 2025 fall slate on Tuesday. The schedule features multiple events from both the professional and collegiate circuits, including one ITA Regional event at the Goodfriend Tennis Center.

The Lady Vols seek to continue the program’s momentum from the 2024-25 season, which they finished as the ninth-ranked team in the nation. Seniors Catherine Aulia, Leyla Britez Risso and Vanesa Suarez return much of last season’s production and enter their final campaigns as ITA’s No. 19, No. 34 and No. 121 singles players in the nation, respectively.

The schedule includes multiple pro-level tournaments, which will feature individual Lady Vols looking for highly competitive reps prior to the spring dual season. Last week, Britez Risso competed in the ITF W35 Uvero Alto event in Punta Cana, D.R. The Lady Vols have plans to send competitors to two ITF events in California, as well as one event in Quebec City. Aulia will represent her native Australia in the Master’U tournament in Paris from Dec. 3-8.

In the collegiate ranks, the Lady Vols will play in a slate of ITA events, including the All-American Championships, ITA Regionals, ITA Conference Masters and ITA Sectional events. The Lady Vols will serve as a host for the ITA Regionals, running from Oct. 15-22.

Multiple Lady Vols qualified for the ITA All-American Championships, including main draw selections in Aulia, Britez Risso and Saray Yli-Piipari, who earned her spot by winning ITA’s National Summer Championship. Vanesa Suarez and Elim Yan earned pre-qualifying selections in the All-American Championships singles field. The duos of Aulia/Britez Risso (MD), Yli-Piipari/Suarez (MD) and Maeve Thornton/Francesca Mattioli (PQ), will compete in the doubles field of the event.

The Lady Vols will also compete in two weekend invite tournaments, first on October 10-12 at the Virginia Invite in Charlottesville, Va., then at the Rome Invite from October 24-26 in Rome, Ga.

The NCAA Individual championships, now played during the Fall season, will take place in Lake Nona, Fla., on November 18-23 at the USTA National Campus, hosted by UCF.
