Spring, is that you? The skies (still grey) suggest we’ve a way to go yet, but the shade of fresh, optimistic green making its way into our wardrobes this February tells an altogether more upbeat story.

From the catwalk (think Calvin Klein and Versace) to the commute, we’re spotting shoots of green everywhere. The spring/summer 2026 way to wear this grassy, perfect-cricket-green hue is layered over more green (add a scarf in the shade). Looking for a more subtle approach? Try a T-shirt under a black jacket. It’s a grower!
Pinsas at Baladin, Bar Jackie x Tamila, and Porch House
Forget debating thin over stuffed crust. There is a new Italian flatbread on the block to confuse matters more: the pinsa. It’s smaller than a traditional pizza, hand-stretched and lighter thanks to the type of dough used; no wonder that pinsarias have quickly become the hot place to get a pie in New York. Over here it’s the latest addition to the Bar Jackie menu at the Broadwick in Soho (the high-camp hotel loved by Taylor Swift and Madonna), which has partnered with chic curry purveyors Tamila to serve pinsas layered with slow-cooked masala lamb and fresh coriander, ginger, mint and red chillies. Meanwhile, the Cotswolds watering hole Porch House has a pinsa on its pub snack menu, while Baladin, the Italian stall in Camden Market, has gone viral for its pinsa menu. We say: save us a slice.

Lampshades? Please! This year it’s all about the chandelier bringing main character energy to our living rooms. But forget the slightly naff crystal iterations — instead the interiors set are clamouring for Jess Wheeler’s Clematis ironwork chandelier (£4,950, jesswheeler.com).

Elsewhere, in an Oxfordshire barn project by the design studio Yellow London, cartwheels found in the space have been repurposed into bold, playful red chandeliers. And Dr Karen Doherty, east London’s favourite aesthetician, has the Ghost chandelier by the Paris-based designer LS Gomma as the centrepiece in her Shoreditch clinic, designed by the gallerist Max Radford.
