The New York Giants have re-signed linebacker Zaire Barnes, who was a restricted free agent.
Barnes played 11 games for the Giants last season. He made one start on Monday Night Football in Week 13 at New England, where he had a game-high 13 tackles and a sack. He also logged two special teams tackles in that game as part of 13 on the season.
Originally a sixth-round draft pick by the Jets in 2023, the 6-foot-1, 232-pounder played four games as a rookie and missed the entire following season with an ankle injury.
Prior to the NFL, Barnes played four seasons at Western Michigan and picked up first-team All-MAC honors as a senior.
