Wisconsin fans travel west to cheer on Brewers in LA

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Milwaukee Brewers fans traveled to Dodger Stadium as the Brewers and Los Angeles Dodgers continued the NLCS in California, with supporters saying they were excited to see their team play on the road.

Among a crowd of Dodgers fans, Brewers fans said they were enjoying the atmosphere at the stadium.

“I love all the chirping from people. It’s all very friendly. It’s a beautiful stadium,” Brewers fan Eric Kaczmarowski said.

For some fans, Game 3 was an opportunity they did not want to miss.

“We are originally from Wisconsin and we go to college in Arizona at GCU and today we decided to drive five hours to see the Brewers play in LA,” Brewers fan Lilly Martin said.

Diane Wunsth and her husband, Pat, also traveled from Arizona to support the Brewers. Wunsth said winning the series would mean a lot to them.

“The last time the Brewers went to the World Series in 1982 we were on our honeymoon in Aruba, so we are here to cheer them on and hope they get there again since it’s been 44 years,” Wunsth said.

Another fan said the matchup between the Brewers and Dodgers has made for a competitive series.

“These are two really good teams and they are the best in the National League, so I’m just looking forward to a really great competition between the two teams and a really good ballgame,” the fan said.

Whether they came from Wisconsin or other states across the West Coast, Brewers fans said they were proud of their team and ready to see how the rest of the series unfolds.
