1-year-old dies after being left in vehicle in St. Pete

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WWSB) – A 1-year-old boy has died after he was allegedly left in a car all day in St. Petersburg, according to St. Pete Police.

Police say a man went to Bayfront Child Development Center Wednesday to pick up his child. When he spoke to staff, they told him that the little boy had not attended that day. Realizing he hadn’t dropped his son off he went back to the car, where the child was found unresponsive.

The child was pronounced dead on the scene. He had been in the vehicle all day.

Police say there are investigating to see if charges will be brought forward.
