Section Description
This course provides an introduction to policy aspects of environment and natural resources including policy processes, governance, and citizen participation. Case studies are an integral part of the course as are readings in public policy concepts. The format varies among lecture, discussion, and small group work. Prerequisites: minimum sophomore standing; NR 104 or POLS 021.
Section Expectation
Environmental case study readings; public policy readings; analytical papers; descriptive timelines; and policy briefs for case studies.
Evaluation
Grades are based on analytical papers, timelines and policy briefs, and in-class participation.
