San Francisco 49ers tipped to make a move for the former Tennessee Titans’ star player, Kevin Zeitler

A few hours ago, ESPN’s Matt Bowen predicted that there is a chance that the San Francisco 49ers could make a move for the former Tennessee Titans’ star player, Kevin Zeitler.ESPN’s Matt Bowen noted in a recent report, “The veteran has a physical inside presence, using his power to displace defensive tackles. And he has the movement ability to pull on gap schemes, which fits into Kyle Shanahan’s system.”ESPN’s Matt Bowen added, “Zeitler also uses his strong base in protection, ranking 37th out of 65 qualifying guards in pass block win rate last season (92.4%).”ESPN’s Matt Bowen continued, “He would be an upgrade to the interior of San Francisco’s O-line, which saw left guard Spencer Burford leave for the Raiders in free agency.”However, the San Francisco 49ers have not officially weighed in on making a move for the 36 year old star player.Over the last few seasons, Kevin Zeitler has proven his worth with a relatively strong performance on the field. In the last season, after signing a one year deal with the Tennessee Titans for a whopping $9 million, Kevin Zeitler started 16 games, recording a 74.5 overall PFF grade, which ranked 13th among 81 qualified guards. The 36 year old star player also turned into an elite pass-blocker, giving up just 16 total pressures (4 sacks) on 909 offensive snaps. In the 2024 season, after signing with the Detroit Lions, Kevin Zeitler was named a Pro Bowl alternate and a Pro Football Focus top-6 graded guard as he started 16 regular season games.Though Kevin Zeitler continues to remain an unrestricted free agent, all eyes remain where he ends up in the new season.
