The 5 Catalans who were traveling on the MV Hondius cruise ship, the scene of the start of a hantavirus outbreak, have been definitively discharged and can leave their homes again and resume their usual routine: the 5 people are “in good health and asymptomatic”.
As communicated this Saturday afternoon by the Departament de Salut of the Generalitat, it was confirmed this Friday that all of them tested negative in the last PCR, after remaining 14 days in isolation in their homes since they left the Gómez Ulla Hospital in Madrid, the center where they began a 42-day quarantine in total.
The Departament emphasizes that, during this entire period, they have undergone daily monitoring by the Subdirectorate of Epidemiological Surveillance and the Emergency Medical Service (SEM), who have supervised their evolution until confirming the absence of symptoms.
