Insider Nir Zohar, President of Wix.com Ltd. (WIX +1.40%), and his spouse acquired 647 ordinary shares on Aug. 31 and sold them on Sept. 1 as part of a routine equity transaction disclosed in a recent SEC Form 4 filing.
Transaction value based on SEC Form 4 weighted average purchase price ($95.00); post-transaction value based on September 1, 2026 market close ($88.38).
Wix.com is a leading global platform for website creation and web application development, serving millions of users through its intuitive visual editor, AI-powered design capabilities, and advanced development environment.
The company's diversified platform approach — spanning no-code solutions for non-technical users to professional development tools — positions it competitively within the broader digital presence and e-commerce infrastructure market. Despite current net losses, Wix maintains substantial revenue scale at $2.1 billion trailing 12-month revenue, reflecting strong demand for accessible web development solutions across global markets.
Wix President Nir Zohar, who has been with the company since 2007, and his spouse used the organization's Employee Share Purchase Plan to acquire 647 ordinary shares at $59.89 in order to sell them the next day for $95 per share.  He and his spouse still retain 662,676 shares post-transaction, a sizable equity stake that ensures continued alignment with shareholder interests.
Wix stock is substantially below its 52-week high of $190.93 as Wall Street remains concerned that the artificial intelligence boom will make the company's core website builder offering obsolete. In response to the AI threat, Wix acquired AI-native start-up Base44 in June of 2025.
Since then, the company has worked to improve the economics of the acquisition. It now expects Base44 to achieve approximately 60% non-GAAP gross margin in the second half of 2026, a significant improvement from near-zero non-GAAP gross margin at the start of the year.
