Police hope aged photo of missing boy sparks leads

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — Clearwater police are still working to solve a 24-year-old cold case.

Zachary Bernhardt was 8 years old when police said his mom came home from a walk early in the morning and discovered him missing from his bedroom at their Drew Street apartment complex.

That was on September 11, 2000.

An artificially aged photo of Zachary has been released to show what he might look like today, along with the photo of him from the time he went missing.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to call police at (727) 562-4242.

If you have information about any lost or exploited children, contact your local police or visit the National Center for Missing or Exploited Children.
