Women’s Tennis Concludes Stay at ITA Regionals

PHILADELPHIA – The Saint Joseph’s women’s tennis team wrapped up its matches at the ITA Northeast Regional Championships at the University of Pennsylvania on Saturday.
 
Wiktoria Czerny earned a bye into the main singles draw, but fell in her opening round match to an opponent from Stony Brook before dropping a consolation match.
 
In earlier action, Elena Fleming fell in a supertiebreaker in a consolation match to an opponent from Mercyhurst.
 
On the doubles side, Czerny and Victoria Tracey went down in the Round of 64 to the ninth-seeded pair from Penn State.
 
The Hawks will return to action in the Dragon Invitational on October 31.
