Golf Influencer Paige Spiranac Has Controversial NFL Fandom

The first round of the 2026 NFL Draft will begin on Thursday night, live from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, home of the Steelers – Paige Spiranac‘s favorite NFL team. Or, well, one of them.

Spiranac, one of the most popular influencers in the golf space – she has more followers than just about everyone besides Tiger Woods – roots for the Pittsburgh Steelers, along with some other NFL teams.
Her fandom has sparked some controversy over the years.

Spiranac has announced over the years that she roots for multiple teams, including both the Steelers and the Lions. And the Bills…
“Both my parents are from Pittsburgh so I’ve been a Steelers fan since the day I was born. I also love the Bills. It’s a complicated relationship…Who’s your team?” she previously asked her followers.

“Feel free to photoshop my outfit to fit your favorite team,” the golf influencer added. “I don’t want anyone hating me.”
NFL fans have taken issue with her ‘bandwagon’ fandom
NFL fans think you have to pick one team to root for and stick with it. That’s pretty common for most sports, of course.
“That’s a turn off,” one fan said of her NFL fandom.
“Weak. Pick one,” one fan added.
“Heartbreaking news,” another fan added.

Spiranac, meanwhile, will continue to root for the Bills, Steelers, Lions and maybe a few other NFL teams, heading into the 2026 season.
