Beams installed ahead of Worcester medieval bridge repairs
A series of beams have been put in place under a flood-damaged medieval bridge in Worcestershire, ahead of a £5m restoration project.
Powick Old Bridge in Worcester suffered structural damage more than two years ago during a flood in February 2024.
In preparation for the multi-million pound repair job, set to start in 2027, a crane was used to put the temporary beams in place.
“These beams play a key role in reinforcing the bridge while repairs or maintenance are being carried out,” a county council spokesperson said,
