Want your voice heard at Hillsboro City Council? Join us for a hands-on testimony training workshop ahead of the July 7th City Council meeting. The city council meeting will potentially have on the agenda the proposal from Sky Harbour to build a private jet hangar at Hillsboro Airport.
Sky Harbour, a New York-based company, wants to build a hangar for 30 ultra-long-range private jets which is the most carbon-intensive form of travel. The Washington County Democratic Party has passed a resolution opposing this development. Now we need residents to show up and speak out.
Whether you’ve never given public testimony before or just want to sharpen your skills, this workshop is for you. Giving testimony is one of the most direct ways to influence local decisions and it’s great practice for civic engagement.
