MINNEAPOLIS – Two Gophers have been named to the At-Large Division I Women’s College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® teams, the organization announced on Tuesday.

Sarah Moraw (gymnastics) was named a CSC First Team Academic All-American while Manon Field (rowing) made the third team.

Moraw, who is pursuing her master’s in human resources and industrial relations, holds a 4.0 GPA. She was presented with the Elite Scholar-Athlete Award during the NCAA Championships on April 16. In her career at the ‘U’, Moraw is an AAI Award Nominee, a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and a two-time All-Big Ten Second Team member. She made the Big Ten All-Championships Team in 2024 after tying for the Big Ten Balance Beam title. A two-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar (2023-24, 2024-25), Moraw was a CSC Academic All-District honoree in 2024-25. She’s a three-time WCGA Scholastic All-American. She earned NCAA Championships Second Team All-America on Beam at nationals in 2026.

A premier student-athlete on the water and in the classroom, Field maintained a 3.94 GPA as a cellular and organismal physiology major across four years with Gopher rowing. The two-time All-Big Ten selection and three-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar helped lead Minnesota to 13 career race victories. During her final season, she competed in all six regattas with the First Varsity Eight crew, powering the boat to a B1G Petite Final victory and a sweep of rivals Iowa, Wisconsin and Kansas at the Twin Cities 2K. Field capped her stellar Maroon and Gold career by winning three of her final four races.

To be considered for a CSC Academic All-America Team, nominees must meet the following criteria:

  • A student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at their current institution.

  • A graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as both an undergraduate and a grad student unless they are in their first semester as a graduate student and don’t have an established graduate GPA.

  • Eligible individuals need to compete in four competitions OR finish top eight at a conference meet.

Nominations are limited to three student-athletes per institution for both men’s and women’s teams. Student-athletes who are nominated are then evaluated by a sub-committee to determine if they can advance to the Academic All-America ballot. Academic All-America nominees are then voted on by the CSC members.
