A new Miley Cyrus album – Bass Persuades – will be released on September 18, the singer announced on Instagram today along with two first-ever shows at the Hollywood Bowl.
“Music takes hold of us,” writes the singer who apparently has dropped “Cyrus” and now goes by just Miley. “We feel it, sing it, sometimes dance to it, let it out and carry on. It is powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong. Heart full, heartache, every part of life in between. That’s what the title means to me. Thank you for being a part of making my wildest dreams come true. I sincerely hope you love this album.”
The Hollywood Bowl dates will be October 16 and 18, and she’s expected to perform the new album in its entirety.
“It’s been a while,” the now-Miley wrote in another Instagram post – see both below. “The Hollywood Bowl is my favorite place to experience music and see my favorite artists. I’ve sat in those seats many times, but I’ve never taken the stage. LA is my heart and I’m bringing it home.”
The Bowl tickets will be available with an Amex presale on September 8 at 10 a.m. PT., with the singer’s own presale set for the following day. General onsale begins on September 10 at 10 a.m. PT. You can find more ticket info at her website here. Also on September 9 a reserved option from Spotify will be available where top fans will have tickets set aside for purchase before they’re generally available to the public.
Another IG post features a short video of Miley playing the guitar against a bit of Bass Persuades music. Watch that one below too.
